Hello Oline,
I am writing to explain a problem that happened on my property several years ago and that still needs to be addressed.
At that time, my fence was cut, and a trench was dug under my fence into my yard. The work was done to help with a drainage problem coming from your property. I was not asked first, and I did not give permission for my fence or my yard to be altered.
The fence that was cut belongs to me. The yard where the trench was dug up also belongs to me. Because of this work, my fence was damaged and my yard was changed.
I want to be clear that I did not agree to this work and I would have said no if I had been asked.
I am asking that this issue be properly resolved. This includes:
Repairing or replacing that portion of my fence, and
Restoring the ground and drainage in my yard so that it does not affect my property.
This letter is not meant to cause conflict. It is meant to clearly explain what happened and what needs to be fixed,
Please let me know how you would like to move forward and when this can be addressed.
Sincerely,
Laurie Hamilton
